The name

焦がれ — to yearn.

Kogare is a Japanese word for longing — to burn for something, to ache for it. Its first character, , is the mark of scorch and fire: the roast itself. The feeling it borrows from, , is love. We named the roastery for that pull toward something made with care — and for the fire that makes it.

Our craft

From source to your cup.

Sourced single-origin

We choose one origin at a time and let it speak for itself — no blends to hide behind.

Roasted to order

Small batches, roasted the way each origin asks — light to keep it bright, deeper to round it out.

Fresh to your door

Bagged and sent soon after the roast, so it reaches you close to its best.

This season

A short list, chosen with intent.

A small rotation of single origins we're pouring right now — each roasted to suit its character.
